So I obviously have one, but have explained it before and story is not about that...
Well...so my usual wi-fi stopped working and I hosted wi-fi from my mobile data, while I was on them, I viewed my hf trust scan and IP matching other member was gone...so does simply changing you IP AFTER still makes it disappear?

Yea, I just wanted to make sure...and now it is even worse to know the fact that I could get away from it so easy instead of getting repkilled for asking :D

Goddamnit! Why steal my line 🤫
I had to add this to the TS page's Important Information:
Quote:Do not contact Staff or Admins about any matching IP's.
Rather fed up getting PMs from members whining about matching IPs on their account and asking me to help them. Fact, if you have a matching IP, then you HAVE A MATCHING IP. WTF do you think I can do about it?
And if someone calls you a multi then so be it. Not my problem and hey, they could be right. In either case I don't get involved in TS based reports of multis. Unless I'm contacted with real evidence of ban evasion (matching Skypes, emails, or something similar) then I don't want to get contacted.
Often times matching IPs are with inactive accounts too. In those cases members are allowed and even told to join again. I take NO ACTION if someone had a previous account closed due to inactivity.
Blah...been wanting to rant about this for a while. It's getting on my nerves.

Hah seems like this rant is well deserved. Can't imagine how many users complain to you about this. Glad you got this off your chest, and I hope others can learn about this and refrain from making reports without clear evidence.

So matching IPs cannot be considered as a sign of a multiple accounter?

In most cases that's the only time you'd see someone with multiple IPs.

Actually in most cases it's cell providers like T-Mobile or AT&T. It's also very often India, AU, and UK ISPs which have dynamic IP's. We have years worth of IPs and in many cases it's not hard to have a match.
TS should be used for members to make decisions in the Marketplace. Not for members to find ban evaders to report.

Oh, well you have the technical data. I'm just going off what I've seen.
Thanks for clearing it up though.
