Just saw this on Twitter. For anyone that needs an Xbox, this might be something to look into. "UPDATE: You can get an Xbox One S for as low as $148 before tax by cancelling the free game. At Target. Target's free game offer w/ Xbox One includes games over $59.99 (ex. $250 RB4 bundle is free)". Do in-store pickup to get it today.

According to the twitter account, it's not a mistake:

"If you want to know why Xbox One S went cheap, it's all because Target is offering a free game greater than $60. It's a pro-rated refund."

"MS said the promo is for $59.99 and under games but Target didn't specify any limitation. So technically there was no "glitch" today" It adheres to the terms of service.

Yes, and it worked. After you place the order, you actually have the option to cancel your entire order, or just parts of your order. Order the console + game, cancel the game, you receive pro-rated refund. If you don't like the refund you receive after cancelling the game, then just cancel the Xbox too.

This is how it works:

1. Place Xbox One S in cart
2. Find game that applies to promotion, add to cart
3. Checkout as either guest or with your account. I did in-store pickup.
4. Pay with option of your choice. (Extra 5% off with Target Redcard)
5. Upon completion of order, it will ask you if you want to cancel anything. Click the link, cancel the game, and you'll have your discount.

No it isn't but the more expensive it is the better discount u get the, i got like a $100+ game and the best discount i got with cancelling the game was $230 :/
