I joined the site in 2009 as a recent college graduate of photography, but as I scoured the job market for my chosen major I found that it was killing my creativity and the job market was barren. So I took a very low level, almost not paying tech job and started reading threads in the Networking and Linux sub-forums.
It's been almost 7 years and I still have much to learn about the ever changing internet. This place is a fantastic resource which goes un-noticed by the average internet goer as-well as a great deal of HF members themselves.
I have been working in the IT industry for almost 10 years now and can directly attribute my love for technology and "hacking" to this forum. I still use it today as a tool to help me find new attack vectors to protect against, as well as a place to shoot-the-breeze and help members with Development and Linux related topics.
