Mawaru Penguindrum is a very good anime that I would recommend for both genders to watch, it can be dramatic at times, it's hard to explain. Without giving any spoilers, I will say it is about a girl and her two brothers who live together, and the girl is terminally ill, you can see where this is leading. The colors in the show are extremely colorful and vibrant, and honestly it is a very relaxing show I would say, even though I binge watched it a few months back I would say if you want to relax this would be a show worthy of such. If I remember correctly, it was either wrote or directed by the same person who did the Anime series "Revolutionary Girl Utena", So it should give you the same vibe, somewhat of a shoujo vibe.

Seen it - really good watch, I'd recommend it if you're into shoujo (or tele novellas, shoutout to barrier). Kunihiki Ikuhara's directorial work really is amazing, ended up checking this out after I watched Utena. Lots of parallels between the two.
