I am a small YouTuber.
I mainly vlogg and during a few of my vlogg's I have bumped into people and the ask "what its for" and there has been a good 2 or 3 people that have followed up and told me I should start promoting my channel more.
That got me thinking what is the best way to promote a YouTube channel without being a dick?

I'm not sure if you know who GradeAUnderA is but when he released his number someone called and told him that they Vlog, Grade's advise was to do something unique to start to get your channel some-what known as people don't tend to just watch random peoples vlogs (no offence), if they aren't already known.

You need to have charisma or be unique in some way, why else would people want to watch your videos?

Else you could pay a big youtuber to promote your channel, or buy shout outs. If you dont have the money you can work on clickbait videos or calling out big youtubers and start a drama, this will get you a lot of attention.

Thank you. I try to eat eggs every morning haha. The car is my moms old car not mine, but I use it every day, and I am very appreciative of that. I didnt end up going to apply but I am going to go in soon.

I totally agree. I have been trying to come up with something unique to do that will help. Right now i just vlogg because it helps me learn to use my camera and get better with the editing program I use and also because its very fun to me. I dont know what I want to do for my channel though.

I do see this being a very popular thing now. Calling out bigger YouTubers. But hey if it works it works.

If you want to go viral do the fruit ninja challenge and chop a finger off by making it look like a accident I'll gurantee you to go viral and get tons of subs.

Just start optimizing your videos more for the sexy SEO rankings. You can even invest like 2$ into Google AdWords to get a short video commercial out there.
