My sisters macbook air was stolen without 'find my mac' on, what are my options?

My sisters laptop was stolen yesterday, stupidly she did NOT enable the 'find my mac' feature. Her facebook, instagram, twitter and other sites have her password cached, but the thief likely does not have the password to the computer. If they do log into facebook I can find the last sessions IP, but because the mac is password protected, I'm not sure they'd be able to get past the lockscreen.

What are my options?
Any way of doing that remotely?

If hes smart, he would log into your facebook via a coffee shops wifi or behind a vpn or proxies...

If he logs in your facebook via his home wifi then you can track him...

Other then that you got no more options.
send nudes and ill give it back

If I stole a laptop I would not even think about logging in to the accounts which are in there, lol.

I think you're done for OP. Maybe there is someway to ask Apple where the computer is if they use the model in an AppStore purchase or something, dunno if Apple can see the serial number of the PC etc.

Next time just enable the future, harsh lesson but thats life

Facebook has a session login check it on her account if they haven't yet logged in.
tell me more about what services are on the computer and i might be able to help you out.

If there on her accounts send out fake messages to freinds like hey check out my nude or something like hey check out what i did last night. and put an IP grabber in the link but spoof the header if he is a stalker 70% chance he clicks.

If you have access to your router connect to it and check connected devices or devices and look for the mac. Some routers keep logs.

Did nobody read the thread. He doesn't have access to the computer.

OP there isn't really a way to get it back sorry. Hope your sister learned her lesson.

If it was stolen in a coffee shop or something you might be able to check cameras if you talk to manager/police. Low chance you'll get anywhere.
You are going to only have, at best, the MAC address of the computer. There really isn't much you can do to track it.
