So, I was reading about the "Lucky Clover" award, and seen you have to have at least 100 characters in your post for a chance for it,
but my question is, are whitespaces and or "spaces" counted as characters?
For instance, if you go on this website and type in a response,

the letters AND the spaces in between the word count as a character, is this also how the lucky clover character count works? just interested.
just want to make sure I know whats up, don't want to spoil my chances at dem cloverz
I'm pretty sure they do count just like how the quote codes, ect count. But I may be wrong. Would've been pretty cool ifyou actually got the award for this post. Lol

and his response was
"No, and FYI, any LQP and warnings will be issued just as usual. So random character junk posting is going to be a big no no."
So he never really clarified if spaces don't work or if bulk spaces won't work.

Yeah, it would make sense that the spaces don't count, but I guess we will never know, Omni's probably the only one that knows the true answer to that, meh better safe than sorry anyways.

If he said 100 characters, spaces count for sure unless coded otherwise. Space is a recognized character just as every other letter or number and it must count.

I think spaces are counted as character but quoted post may not be counted in as character. That's what omni said.

Regardless off whether spaces count as a character, it's not hard to make a hundred character post.
They do count, but there is a small line of defense - you can't make a series of blank spaces to fill a post with.
For example, if I place 100 spaces below this text, only 1 will appear

I think spaces might actually count as 3 characters due to "%20"? Just a speculation.
