Violet Evergarden

Synopsis:
Spoiler (Click to View)There are words Violet heard on the battlefield, which she cannot forget. These words were given to her by someone she holds dear, more than anyone else. She does not yet know their meaning.

A certain point in time, in the continent of Telesis. The great war which divided the continent into North and South has ended after four years, and the people are welcoming a new generation.

Violet Evergarden, a young girl formerly known as "the weapon," has left the battlefield to start a new life at CH Postal Service. There, she is deeply moved by the work of "Auto Memories Dolls," who carry people's thoughts and convert them into words.

Violet begins her journey as an Auto Memories Doll, and comes face to face with various people's emotions and differing shapes of love. All the while searching for the meaning of those words.

Apparently this is something that's in the works. There is no confirmed date of release as far as I am aware, however I saw the trailer and the animation just looks gorgeous, and the OP is really pleasant. Can't wait to see this come out eventually, so this is just a heads up to keep AA aware ;)

Yea looks great, but I won't let eyecandy overlook overall quality of story, characters, etc., yet it looks like it has a lot of potential so will be a definite PTW when it comes out ;)

Violet Evergarden is an animation project by Kyoto Animation that adapts the light novel written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase. The novel won the grand prize for the fifth Kyoto Animation Award in 2014. Taichi Ishidate (Hyouka) will helm the project.

For anyone curious: the rough translation to what she says is something along the lines of "I will run as fast as I can to wherever my customer desires. I am the Auto Memories Doll, Violet Evergarden"

Name without reading the synopsis kind of sounds like some softcore hentai; I still haven't watched any of the currently airing shows because I'm waiting til they complete so then i can binge watch the full series. Watching 1 episode at a time is a drag

Ye I only ever watch a few series as their air, but this one was announced a few years ago and now its finally being released, the animation looks amazing, I'm just hoping the story complements it.

Yeah, I would love to read the original novels first, but they don't have an official English translation and I don't know enough Japanese 😟

Looks beautiful; it seems to be based off of a pretty obscure manga - with only 77 people having rated it and 0 people having reviewed it. All the ratings for the manga seem to be good, so hopefully the story is solid.

The only recommendation I can see is that the premise is similar to Iris on Rainy Days if you have read that - so I have high hopes for the story and damn that animation <3 Should be a formula for success

Lol ye, that's the only concern I have atm haha, but that animation is some of the best I've seen so far.
