I'm looking for a way where I can advertise my own website in order to gain
real traffic.

My website is about unlocking smartphones and so far, I was commenting on Youtube
videos (that are related to sim unlocks) to gain the specific traffic.
Due to Youtube's last updates, it has become harder to comment posts (most of them are filtered and automatically removed).

I tried to think about other sites but it has never worked well and I was hardly
getting traffic.

Does someone have any idea?
Wouldn't mind to pay first for someone who has a great idea to share.

Start optimizing your website and start doing SEO on your site. I would also suggest making a Facebook page and start running ads for your business, you could also start running google Adwords for your website to gain more traffic. I would suggest start targeting locally with your seo and then keep expanding from there.

Currently, I'm using Bingads to gain the traffic (usually get about 100
clicks per day) but it is still not as good as Youtube was.

What do you think if I create my own Youtube video? It might take some time
to get views and comments but it might help me get some good traffic.

I highly recommend making youtube videos, and then upload transcriptions on your website. Also run Google Keywords as BanditDev said. Traffic usually comes with being in the top rank of google search.

This is against Yahoo Answer's terms I guess, but you could also look up questions about unlocking smartphones and self-advertise your website by putting it in the source field while leaving your how-to answer. It's a good way to get a lot of traffic but it's kind of on the shill advertising side, so be careful not to get caught and answer other questions to make it seem like you're a "real contributor".

2. You could also rent peoples' signatures on popular smartphone forums and use a banner ad to promote your phone unlocking website.

3. If you have the time to take advantage of search engines, you can look up websites to purchase direct ads. Normally websites have a contact form where you can get in touch with the owner. That can be used to negotiate and get an ad for your site up in exchange for an agreed price.

dir the best way is you start off page seo for your website and start to use blogger,tumbler,web 2.0. Post ,add url,cache them and make quality back links but first make good keyword then follow these thing i know its take time but in the end it will create a good result.Thanks

I'm going to try Yahoo! Answers once I get some spare time (prolly tomorrow).
