Fake wallet scams

I was looking to get some Dash for a HF award.
So I search up the dash coin and click the first link to get a wallet and try to get $20 in Dash to buy the award.
After getting Dash It was all smooth, but now It's taking forever to send the Dash so I did some research and seems like it is a scam.

It's pretty bad that these fake wallets are the first on Google when searching for your new currencies wallet. I'd recommend everyone not do like I did.

Do some research about your wallet and crypto-currency before depositing. I could have saved $20 with just a single search.

What's a safe dash wallet?

Dash wallets that are a scam (Click to View)

EDIT: I used shapeshift to send BTC > Dash directly to coinpayments for the award.
That's strange. Jesus, thank god this was only $20 though and not a crazy amount, someone probably should clear this up somewhere
If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.
Sorry to hear this man. Thanks for the warning tho.

I used shapeshift to get BTC > ETH.
I sent straight from shapeshift.io for the award but you can use the exodus wallet. It has 4 currencies and is pretty nice.

They're amazing. I purchased monero for a guy today and they came out legit.

I also used to get this BTC > Dash from shapeshift, but I was stupid to just send the Dash to the fake wallet, when I could've just send it straight to coinpayments.
Damn man I'm sorry to hear that :/ I always use shapeshift to send directly to the coinpayments address.

Or just use shapeshift to send it directly.

Well, I got my award now using that, don't fall for the fake wallet scams.
Sucks OP. I'm still a bit confused as to why you didn't just send the money straight from the exchange where you bought Dash to coinpayments, though.
And I'd never keep any of my coins on any sort of online wallet anyways, regardless of what coin it is or how reputable any given site is.
I don't really do rep for rep so if you're using your daily rep on me save it for someone else ❤️

Long time fascination with computers, politics, some gaming, but less so nowadays.
Sorry about your loss. Thanks for the alert. Agreed that good thing it wasn't for more than $20

Didn't quite realize that then I guess. I thought it would be too much work.

Well, yeah. At least it wasn't more than $20. But it sucks that these scam sites are the first one when you search "Dash wallet"
