Happened to me too. It's not a fun experience, ruins every deal in the future.
I would only and only deal on HF and nowhere else, not even if the deal is for $1 or $1k
Me and VB have dealt before and we exchanged like 20-30 PM's during the deal and we both never even once wanted to chat on messenger apps.

Sadly, indeed this happens on people with high repu, and the worst moment is when people get scammed when they deal on skype.
