Trust Scan Update Omniscient has added another field to the trust scan page called "Matching country of registration and latest IP". Essentially, it allows the viewer to know if the country the account was registered in is the same as the latest IP the user has logged into. This was added in order to help prevent further scams by the person who has been scamming from Greece using accounts created in other countries. >>Source

.Sinister: Hey, Wirt. Welcome to the 324th edition of the HF News! Have any shoutouts you want to make before we begin? Wirt: Yeah, shout out to all of The Order members, they've been with me through a lot
.Sinister: Wirt, thanks for joining us during this time of celebration. We just witnessed an end to 2016. Do you have any plans for this upcoming new year? Wirt: Well I'm currently taking classes at a local university, including select pre-law classes, and the average GPA for the law school that I plan on attending has an average GPA of around 3.6, so my goal for the new year is to keep my grades high so I can attend the graduate school of my dreams.
.Sinister: That definitely requires some hard work to obtain. I wish you good luck on achieving those goals! Looking back on 2016, what are some of highlights and milestones do you think HF achieved during that time? Wirt: Well, I took a 6 month vacation ban in the front portion of 2016 because I needed to get some shit together and HF certainly wasn't helping. Nothing against HF in any way, it's just my time management was horrible with the distraction. But since I came back I haven't noticed many major changes. I was permanently denied Ub3r for about three years though, and I politely PM'd Omni and asked him if he would give me a second chance, and he did, and I'm proud to say I'm now blue :)
.Sinister: Ah, what a lucky surprise! Haha, glad you're finally on the blue side. Do you plan on being an active member of HF for most of 2017? Wirt: For the most part. But my school work takes top priority, and if I become overwhelmed with it I may have to take some time off of HF.
.Sinister: That's completely understandable. I've noticed you have been apart of the HF community for quite some time now. Has HF made a difference in your life? Wirt: Hm. Well, HF has definitely taught me some skills that have definitely been beneficial to me to this day, and the members in the Education Nation part of HF are very informative and helpful and have made my struggles a lot easier.
.Sinister: If you don't mind, can you elaborate on those skills that you've learned? Wirt: Yeah I learned some various coding languages and the guys in Education Nation have helped teach me some material in the past that really helped me with my studies
.Sinister: I agree that HF provides a lot of opportunities for people to learn. Have you made any friends on HF that you still talk to today? Wirt: Hm. No one user has actually stood the test of time in terms of constant conversation between us, partly because of my 6 month vacation ban :C
.Sinister: Well, that's unfortunate to hear. Hopefully you're able to find someone in the near future. That's all we have for today. Thanks for joining us, Wirt! Wirt: No problem, thank you for having me.

World's First Solar Road Built in France
After over five years of work, French construction company Colas has finally finished work on the first ever solar road, dubbed the Wattway, in Normandy, France. The road will undergo a two-year test period to make sure it is safe for daily use during heavy daily traffic, while still providing solar power. While environmentalists may be happy, some question the exhorbitant cost of the road. While the Wattway is only one kilometer long and two lanes wide, it has cost a total of 5 million Euros to build. To cover all of the countries' roads would require billions, if not trillions of Euros. According to Colas, the road works by having millimeter thin solar panels laid over roadways, and can be expanded to already existing roads. Colas also states that these road panels are about as efficient as roof solar panels, which get around 20 percent photo-voltaic efficiency. Testing will soon show whether the statement stands under extreme weather, heavy traffic, or other circumstances.
Apple to Cut iPhone Production by 10%
Tech giant Apple has decided to slash production of 2017's iPhone model by one-tenth of the latest iPhone's numbers, due to a decrease in sales with recent models. This comes with the already slimmed down iPhone 7 and 7 Plus production cut of 20% in 2016. Sales are speculated to be down as a result of a lack of new, appealing features from consumers of Apple smartphones. Despite this, iPhone 7 line sales are still booming in Asia - specifically Japan, thanks to the IC chip reader in the iPhone 7 line, used for features such as payment processing.

Final Fantasy Creator Announcing New Titles!
Although the first Pokemon Sun/Moon Global Event was less than successful, the next round offers bigger rewards for a more modest goal. The first Pokemon Global Event from earlier this month tasked players with catching 100 million Pokemon in the period from November 29 to December 13. However, the final count fell far short of that goal with just 16.5 million creatures captured. The second event will only require players around the world to catch or defeat 1 million Pokemon, but they must be discovered using the Island Scan feature. Island Scan is a new feature in Pokemon Sun/Moon that is only available after earning 100 points from scanning QR codes in the game. Using Island Scan allows players to find Pokemon that exist outside the Alola region Pokedex. This second global event will start on December 27 4:00 UTC (8PM Monday December 26 PST | 11:00 PM EST) and it will run until January 9th 2017 23:59 UTC. >>Source
