Apparently, it's because the brain doesn't see the small detail as anything important, thus they don't remember. Personally, I agree with this. However, as the brain is almost being challenged, it fabricates the memory so that it beleieve its right. The brain doesn't like being wrong, and when someone claims to remember something differently, asking if you noticed this small change that was (apparently) once there, it wants to say that it can remember. I don't feel as though this explains it very well. I'll try again if you didn't understand (it's my bad) Basically, you know which it is. You're so used to it that you don't notice or remember noticing this small detail. If at any point someone's brain trips out for a second, such as the beginning of mental disorders, they become convinced that they are right. This is because the brain wants to be right. When they post this somewhere, showing it to the public, the readers begin to doubt what they already know. This small detail could've been there and it could not have. This person remembers it as this, but it is no longer this way- the brain thinks it is being tricked, lied to. To fight it (such as how we instinctively fight small change, in government or our environment for example, and how we fight those whom lie to us) we convince ourselves that we and our brains know best. It becomes our relatity such as a person with dementia has an altered reality- this is just a dememented reality, a part of our brains not working properly. It's similar to those whom believe aliens are amongst us, or how the illuminati control the world (I'm not trying to take those theories apart, it's just an example). A group of people believe they have remembered something that used to be how it was, in an attempt to believe we are in control of what happens, our brains and our environments. Once you've seen it, you'll remember and believe it.

I am open to the possibility that these mandela effects are false memories, but to the same extent as I am open to the possibility that they are not false. To rule out that they were ever changed, all of these logo's were never changed from the ones on the left to the ones on the right. I made the logo's on the left (excluding 2 of them), and they never existed (someone also made a frebreeze edit too). If they did exist(at any point in time), I would have just copy pasted the existing ones, however the logo's were always the way they are on the right. Secondly, If my memory is bad, there would not be residual evidence left over. For example, I have remixes of a song called Jack U- Febreze, except these remixes are still titled "febreeze", as they used to be. Additionally, there is no way everyone's false memory is so identical that they even get the same nostalgia from these memories, in such starkly close timelines. Not to mention, you can yourself ask anyone you know what color chartreuse is and they will tell you what it was. As to the coincidental nature of this effect, confirmation bias could have played a role. But the justifying evidence is the residual clues such as the photograph of the lion and lamb, which is famous. I think doubting your own memory is a huge step in the wrong direction if you want to avoid mental illness, and the only rational way to deal with a paradox like this is to entertain the idea without precedent in regards to mental conditions and self doubt. The proof is in the nostalgia, and in this case, if the mandela effect is legitimate, that means that reality is a variable and memory is the only real constant. This quote can serve to illustrate this idea: “He who controls the past controls the future. He who controls the present controls the past.” ― George Orwell, 1984 Delving deep enough into this subject could obviously induce mental illness in anyone, but so could any undertaking of the unknown.

See, by looking at them, I couldn't tell old from new. That's fucked I wouldn't say that it's nostalgia, as that is the reason, in most cases, for blindly fighting for something to be better than another, new thing- but not a different thing. They're similar, as nostalgia is remembering something that was there, believing that it was beautiful, good, or better than the present. Your brain wants it to be that way so that the good memories remain valid, but it isn't Mandela (in my opinion) Mandela is remembering something that didn't exist st all. Nostalgia is truth, a truth that is no longer valid (due to change) which you still want to be true (and you swear that it is.). Marbella would be a lie, something that is so small, such as a minor edit on a logo, that it (in your mind) becomes a truth. That's just my opinion, though. The points in the thread are rhetorical, as if we were talking about ghosts being real or something. As if we were talking about 7 people who are supposed to meet for some purpose. Or something like that. I completely ageee wth 'exploring' these without letting it affect your mental. It's fun! I do the same thing, but I get a little bit sucked into it from time to time. BTW have you uncovered and explored 'the ***** code yet?' There is no way to forget, you must progress to the end ooOOoooooOooHhhHh hahah (Jan 17, 2017 01:32 PM)Є∂ɢʏ Wrote: You made those? Our memory gets fucked up all the time... It's kinda sad realizing that people are so narcissistic and/or naive that they need to make up an elaborate effect such as this, instead of admitting their brain was wrong about some insignificant details... One way it was ruled out was by the analytics of google searches in 2014-15 in releation to the old mandela effected spelling of words.
