[Discussion] Anti-Scam Society - Leader Marcus173 Speaks on Scam Awareness

During my time at HF I have came to the conclusion that being scammed is simply possible to new and members that have been around for time now.

Now I am here to spread awareness on the fact that members will go and deal with another member solely on the fact that they member is and Ub3r or L33t member. It's had to had happened to a member before and it can be stopped. A member goes to the Buyers bay or Sellers section thinking that members with blue ub3r username or lime green l33t username and automatically think that it's safe to deal and send them their money without thinking about the risk of being scammed and losing that hard earned money forever!

Just because they have ub3r or l33t or are in a group doesn't make you have to trust them and send your money to them without knowing if you will receive what you are paying for. Some people will scam you and ignore you on this website.

Here's why you shouldn't trust the Trust Scan even though it may be a good tool to look for scams a member has committed in the past, just because they have zero reports against them doesn't mean that you should still send them your hard earned money up front without knowing and being sure that they will send you anything, always think before doing a deal to ub3r l33t regular members. Always avoid going first. If the person is trusted they may offer to go first, if they force you to go first you should always decline if you do not want to. Don't let them force you into dealing with them even if they never scammed before.

Always make sure that they are trusted and trust your inner feelings, don't go first if you feel not to.

You are on Hackforums and HF will not be held responsible for deals made by members. All deals at your own risk. If you get scammed you may not get a refund. Listen! And understand! That it is 100% possible that there may be evil ub3r and l33t scammers are out there. They can't be bargained with! It can't be reasoned with! It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever!

If you send them your money they may just take it and never speak to you again. Know what you're doing. Pay attention. DO research. You don't have to go first and don't have to! Just say "I will not be going first to any member an any circumstances" and that is perfectly fine and reasonable. Why should you have to send your hard earned member to someone because they are:
"more trusted"
"joined before you"
"have a lot of Rep"
"Have a blue or green username"
"Have a nice group logo/user title"
ect.

This is not true and that's why I have put quotations around it because these are not reasons at all to send someone your money without being sure or any freedom or certainty or proof that the person will not scam us and take our money.

Thank you for your interest in joining my new group called "Anti-Scam Society". We do not condone scamming other members for their hard earned cash. I will be recruiting members! We will spread awareness. We will solve scam reports. We will PM the scammed member. We will post polls asking if member's have been scammed in the past. We will spread awareness that having a blue username and more power in the forum does not mean that members can trust them and that they can potentially be scammed by any HF member. We will end scamming in the HF community right now! We will post in the Deal Disputes section, we will spread words of wisdom and awareness of HF scammers and that HF members should just be cautious when dealing and to not go first just because they see that a member has a blue ub3r Userbar and blue name or something like that. We will end scamming in the HF community day by day. We will be heard. We will spread words of wisdom and prosperity, we will wear our badges of honor and wear signatures displaying Anti-Scaming knowledge and how to avoid it at all costs! Scamming is wrong and it hurts! Let it be known now to all HF members wanting to buy or sell without being scammed by a scamming member who is wrong and should stop hurting others!

"DO NOT GO FIRST TO ANYONE"
"DO NOT GO FIRST NOT EVEN TO UB3R MEMBERS WITH BLUE USERNAMES"
"YOU CAN POTENTIALLY BE SCAMMED ON HF, USE THE TRUST SCAN FEATURE ON EVERY MEMBER'S PROFILE BEFORE DEALING WITH THEM"
"DO NOT TRUST ALL MEMBERS FOR THERE ARE SCAMMERS OUT THERE, THEY DO NOT CARE THEY JUST WANT TO SCAM YOU. DO NOT SEND JUST ANYBODY MONEY ON HERE WITHOUT ASKING TONS OF QUESTIONS, GETTING TONS OF PROOF OF VLIDIDTY, OR JUST NOT FEELING CERTAIN DEEP DOWN. NEVER TRUST A MEMBER ON HERE BECAUSE THEIR PROFILE IS NEAT, OR IF THEY HAVE A BLUE UB3R L33T USERNAME. ALL MEMBERS INCLUDING L33TS AND UB3RS ARE CAPABLE OF SCAMMING YOU. DO NOT TRUST USERS IN GROUPS WITH FANCY USERTTLES THEY CAN ALSO SCAM. DO NOT GO FIRST TO ANYONE AND SPREAD THE AWARENESS WITH ME!"
"BE CAREFUL AT ALL TIMES EXCHANGING ANYTHING ON HACKFORUMS OR BUYING ANYTHING MEMEMBERS CLAIM TO BE SELLING".. THIS IS JUST THE BEGGINING! WE WILL NEVER STOP FIGHTING EVIL! "STOP SCAMMING!! STOP SCAMMING!" No one wants to be scammed, I feel that WE SHOULD NOT treat others wrong! Scamming is wrong and is not nice!

Please spread as much as our words of wisdom. Go to the deal disputes section and spread knowledge. Wear signatures, post, talk to others, ask if they have ever been scammed, teach them how to avoid being scammed! If you need help come back here and post your work and what you have done helping with Anti-Scam words of wisdom with us as a group we will be 24/7 on patrol and crime stopping to tell these ub3r/l33t scammers to STOP SCAMMING! You can wear this sig to support the cause AND link them to any Anti-Scam Society material THE SIG IS HERE IN THIS CODE COPY AND PASTE INTO UR SIG TO SUPPORT THANKS!!

WHY DO THEY ABUSE VIA HF AND SCAM INNOCENT MEMBERS?

Although these reasons are not true and in reality we are beautiful. Here are some reasons why they hurt us and leave us after scamming us, scam us, betray us. Can you think of any others? Please contribute and I'll add reasons thanks!

***A Special Thank You to all in my personal life who have helped me and educate me this information, you will not be in vain you know who you are. We can learn so much from your words of wisdom God bless you all:)

They need to believe you're "inferior" in need of discipline and rearing

Jealousy or Envy

Guilt

They want revenge against someone who hurt them, so they try to hurt you instead.
Power-trip

Selfish, it's all-about-me attitude.

Because they can get away with it

Trying to deflect attention away from something they're doing by drawing attention to you in a negative way

You make them look cowardly when you finally take a stand

You make them take a harder look at their own relationships by

Threatened by you in some way (your style, behavior, love, care, ect.

feeling evil and need to bring you down to their level

Attention-grabbing

They mistake your 'niceness' for 'weakness' and that's who they attack

Thinks others 'owe' them

They thrive on conflict and crisis

taking a stand in your relationships

They abuse & control you because it works!

Enjoy causing trouble and upsetting others

Superior feeling- think they have the right to judge or criticize others

THEY DON'T CARE about you or anyone else but themselves. You are only there to help them feel better by hurting you.  When you cease to be useful or don't give the Hatred they want, they will punish you.

They don't like you for standing up for being good.
This was a list of why they hurt us, betray us, scam us, leave us.

If you have any questions feel free to ask them here. Be cautious while dealing on HF and have a great one!

Thanks for pointing that out. I justified the text instead of centering it, turned out to be nice and readable.

Just because you have inner Feeling for someone as scammer doesn't make him scammer lol ; and i seriously wonder why " The Grim " is fucked in the example haha , he is one of the most trusted and oldest exchanger here on HF

When you send money over internet you involve risk always , that's the basic logic . Nothing in this world are safe unless you do face to face and cash in hand transactions like Shops / banks etc . So basically when you deal trades over virtual world you risk being scammed but that don't mean you avoid the trade . To avoid scam you just have to be clever a bit and understand the usually scam activity . One of the common points are , usually scammers are in hurry to complete the trade , scammer's trust scan reveals their past activity most of the time but the buyers are too lazy to check that , Scammer's 2FA Disabled or just enabled today ( along with password change ) most of the time . These are common things in HF scams which buyers forget to notice and also most of the scammers do use Skype to Impersonate legit trader .

IMO The Grim can be as risky to deal with as anyone else, he may have been here a long time, done hundreds of deals, but nothing stops him from suddenly scamming one day. No matter who it is, you're always taking a risk.

i didn't say that you completely risk free with anyone , please read i told why The Grim labeled as example there . He could normally mention the fact and risk involved to trade anyone online 🙂
So as per his suggestion we shouldn't trust Omni also ? lol . Inner feeling is good point which i don't deny but you have to add the facts which i mentioned above to detect the scammers and avoid them . Trust scan is great tool and if the buyer is not lazy enough to check then they could simply dodge from a lot of scam attempts with it . What OP mentioned is simply do not trust anyone that means do not trade online 🙂 ; You just have to be careful more with your money

"SCAMMERS ON HF CAN’T HELP THE WAY THEY ACT"

SO YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO ACCEPT IT, FORGIVE THEM ANYWAY, AND NOT EXPECT THEM TO CHANGE??? THATS NOT RIGHT!

How many times has this happened to you?- You’re upset over yet another incident of being scammed online or abused online and you’re venting- trying to speak out about Anti-Scam Awareness, and someone who then tells you that you have to understand that’s “just the way the internet "is”, “they don’t mean it”, or “they/HF/internet can’t help it” because of her own psychological problems.

Many times a scammer and bully will defend themself in this manner.
Unfortunately, “that’s just the way HF/The internet is” is not an acceptable excuse for scamming/hurting someone. It’s not my job to in-scam myself. It’s thier job to “unwire” themselves and behave properly- if not lovingly towards another HF/online member, then at least in a civil and nicely and acceptable manner.

The scammers/bullieswho are regular ub3r even l33t members and people who support it on innocent members all say that it's “just the way he is”, YOU have to be more tolerant of their behavior because he “can’t help it”, "they're ub3r or own a group", and YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THAT NONE OF THIS IS THEIR FAULT. Those members are simply not responsible for her own words or behavior on site and in PMs and in their threads?? which are apparently completely out of their control because they are "ub3r and l33t"?? I think not.. Therefore, you are expected to pay for their scamming ways with your hard earned money and being scammed, and should just forgive it, and keep on forgiving it without ever expecting these members to change, no matter what outrageous and destructive things they do on HF, otherwise you are wrong??? NO I THINK NOT!! I Think that we should spread awareness and should Leave a message in their rep and even make a scam report if you feel that you have enough evidence such as PM's , and anything that you feel like could help you if you are 100% sure that you have been scammed even better got a confession (which hurts as well)..

Don't let them make lame excuses to hurt, scam us! We have the right to not go first to anyone on HF! Let's exercise that right!

In short, all you have to do is remmeber that no matter what color they are, they're all human. They can be scums or good people. You can apply that to anything.

We as the Anti-Scam Society will bring awareness that you have the right to not go first and decline anyone of business. You don't have to go first and send anyone on HF your money regardless who they are. Just say " I won't go first to anyone under any circumstance" and that is perfectly reasonable!

Anti-scam society? Sounds like a hasty way to build trust and authority in the community.
@OP,

Please understand when I post saying this. I appreciate what you are attempting to do around here, and prevent the scamming. But this approach will not work.

There are numerous reasons this will not work, but to list a few:
  • Getting involved in others deal disputes, pretty much always results in accounts being closed.

  • The investigative methods you propose border, if not violate the anti DOXing/posting of personal information of members.

  • And more importantly, scammers will always find a way to scam.

But then I move on to this, and likely my most troubling issue in your OP statement:

In your OP post you advise users because the member is l33t or Ub3r they should not inherently be trusted.
Although this is good advice, telling users they should refuse to go first, under any circumstances. This is going to fuck a lot of people up.

And here is why,

I am selling product A (Lets say a OG IG account for example)
You expect me, a trusted seller, with no scam reports and no deal disputes to go first to a likely new member with no trust, or reputation to work off of, simply because I could scam them?

If someone told me they will not go first in a deal with me, I will tell them to go take a hike, straight up. And I KNOW I am not the only reputable seller around here with this opinion.
i hate scammers they suck but

I would take his advise into consideration if i was you.
