Amazon offers a free 1 month trial of Amazon Prime on their website. If you cancel the free trial before it expires, you're prompted with the option of continuing your free trial for 1 additional month. This is the most straightforward way and can get you 2 months of free Amazon Prime.
Additionally, Amazon gives a free 6 month Amazon Prime trial for students - the catch is you need an e-mail address ending in .edu. If you have a legitimate .edu e-mail or know someone who will let you borrow theirs, this is a great deal to take advantage of. Alternatively, there are methods for getting a free .edu e-mail address. Not sure if I can discuss since some of them are greyhat/blackhat, but they're out there.
I've also found that if you close your Amazon account and open a new one, you can take advantage of the Amazon Prime trial again.
