So I work as a server and one of my restaurants had their annual holiday party last Sunday. I was pretty excited for this since I love my job and my coworkers, and also because the party was open bar for us, so naturally I just dropped a $20 in the tip jar for the bartenders who volunteered to make us drinks and proceeded to have as many free drinks as I wanted to.

Don't get me wrong, I started off slow and paced myself, but the party went from 8pm to 5 am, so a lot of alcohol was consumed. This is the only picture I have of the night, but the sums it up pretty well:

It was a great time! There was dancing, karaoke, drinks, beer pong, giant jenga, food, everything.

I was pacing myself pretty well, but since the party was so long I ended up blacking out... Needless to say I woke up to this on my face:

My friend drove me home at 5am and he said I was fine, so it must have happened between me walking from his car to my room, so I must have fallen or something.

All in all I'm glad it didn't happen at the party and I'm glad I didn't get into a fight, but holy shit I need to take it easy next time.

The worst part is I still have to serve tables so they ask me about it all the time...

Oh well, it's a nice wake up call. Have you guys ever gotten a black eye like this?

It's almost gone now, but I've kind of been telling my tables different random stories. One of them made me come up with something interesting so I told them I saved my nephew from a bear attack.
