So my schools admin took the laptop I was using to check it and I found this.

It was during lunchtime and y teacher said I needed to take my laptop down to the Admin so when I got it back I saw he was on terminal(mac) and I looked in the command history and the two latest commands were "sudo jams recon" I wanna know what that means or is.

Lol I figured it out I had my firewall on so it blocked all incoming connections so he thought the remote desktop wasn't working.

OT:

From google searching I found this : https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discuss...mmand-line

I hoping you typed it wrong because this is what it most likely is.

He may have been trying to get some personal info off you?

Jamf seems to be some kind of hardware management software..? Not too experienced with this. If the school own your laptop high chances are they installed this software, they may have been checking to see if the laptop's yours or some other stuff regarding that. Don't quote me on this tho.

jamf is a remote device management tool. It shouldn't be allowing him to read any of your personal shit but to update the system without you loosing any time from the computer.

I would assume recon stands for reconnect as you had your firewall on and jamf wasn't sending statistics to the administrator as it should.
