Hi ,

My external hardisk (seagate 1TB)
Takes time to load on ubuntu
It makes my ubuntu go very slow
And it often crashes
And it makes continues beep sounds
But when I contect it to my windows pc it works perfectly fine

Any help ?

When are you experiencing these symptoms? What file system is the drive using?

Does this only happen whilst putting stress on the drive, e.g copying data to it? Any issues with other USB (2.0 or 3.0, specifically your respective drive) devices? What kernel are you booting into?
