Did you ever use the "feather/fletching" method?

It was more popular back in 2003-2007, but it was very profitable. There was a Runescape millions guide being sold for $3 online, and it was widely advertised. My brother purchased it. The guide instructs you to basically buy feathers on free worlds and sell them on members worlds. My brother and I used to hire new/free players to get feathers from the chickens up the street from Lumbridge. We'd buy them for 1gp each and sell for 5-10gp each. Very good money back in the day!

no back then I was the one gathering feathers and selling em for shitty gps. =D
Nah don't remember this, but I never had members for my first couple years playing back in the day. Remember law running worlds where you would go edgeville with a inv of runeess and run over to law altar and trade a guy with monk robes who would convert for an inv of law runes.

Yeah rune trading was great. I made so much gold with the essence and making runes. My biggest source of gold though was mining and woodcutting (skills wise), and then I made a lot from buying low and reselling. Also, PKing obviously can be nice. I was in the Mayhem Makers clan for a while.

Pink hats, yes? I had a shitty pure account a REAL long time ago and remember pking with them, soon after portals were introduced(2006ish?) and there was intel a clan was porting on our world, this clan ports in lvl50 wild all together and get completely destroyed with a mass of ancient spells. Shit was cash.
One of the many great memories I have of the game. Can't bring myself to play it nowadays sadly but in it's time it was one of a kind imo.

Yea exactly!
The pink hats / uniform was very cool. I loved that aspect.
I wish guilds in WoW had more pride like that.
The MM clan was glorious.
