Policy Question

Is this or would this be drop shipping?

I have a supplier say in California, whom I get my product off of.
I want to resell, or, IDK upsell for a profit (lets be honest here).

I can get it for a better price than most, and, can offer it slightly less.

My question lies in, if my Supplier offers direct shipping to my customers, Is this considered Drop/Proxy shipping?

I would gladly directly carry and ship the same product myself, but, if it comes from "The horses mouth" so to speak, it saves on shipping, and all sorts of other costs.....

I would have to take the direct order, process, receive the order, and then RESHIP the item.

It seems like a real waste of time......
If it comes from your supplier then to the customers it would be drop shipping..
Personally, I think it would because the product was never in your hands. I feel like you would have to go through all the hassle of having it shipped to you, then you ship it to the client for it to be clear of drop shipping. I am curious as to what others say.

Well I would be processing all orders and be accountable, I am just wondering if I can have the physical items shipped directly from warehouse or not..
"The biggest difference between dropshipping and the standard retail model is that the selling merchant doesn't stock or own inventory. Instead, the merchant purchases inventory as needed from a third party – usually a wholesaler or manufacturer – to fulfill orders."

So by this definition it would be, however, you claim that you don't order anything from your supplier, and you just tell him where to send it. Now that is tricky. I would say yes still, but not certain.
