43,000$ or 5 years in jail.
Thoughts?
South Korea has taken a big step toward cracking down on cheating in online games by criminalizing the creation and distribution of aimbots, wall hacks, and anything else not allowed by a game's terms of service. According to a PvPLive report, anyone convicted of doing so could face up to five years in prison (!) or $43,000 in fines.

I'm sure you could somehow be sued in America for creating game hacks as well. I doubt there's a law for it directly but they could get you under some odd stipulation, basically since you're making money off of someone elses copyrighted material.
Surprised it hasn't happened yet to be honest (or if it has I wasn't aware) would set a new precedent.
I don't really do rep for rep so if you're using your daily rep on me save it for someone else ❤️
Long time fascination with computers, politics, some gaming, but less so nowadays.

That's pretty crazy, I actually heard about that now that I think about it. The way that company handled it was retarded as fuck lol they had all that coming to them.
I'm not entirely bothered by it tbh as it's annoying as fuck when you want to play a game legit and have your experience ruined by some 12yo "hacker".
Won't do much though because there will always be some 3rd world country that doesn't give a fuck.

This is to far. I don't think they should go-to jail, think big company's making money off making cheats should be shut down and fined but not jail. That's to much.

Well, I don't think that countries will do the same thing as south korea, sending people to jail for 5 years its pretty crazy.
But I really hope that it will happen asap so games can be clean af

Yeah, Blizzard has successfully sued several WoW bot creators for making a profit off of their game. This newest case isn't even the first time it has happened.
As I recall, thisgamesux was also threatened by Nexon for one of their cheats.
This sounds like fake news to me, and it's stupid, for this reason:
Criminalising cheats will only make cheating become more lucrative and less obvious.
