Drawing on paper for digital art

I'm trying to get my wife to do art for my websites. She's an artist and stuff and wouldn't mind. She just really hates the process of starting digital art and doing it all.

I think, but might be mistaken, for video games and movies and stuff I think the artists draw everything out on paper and paint it on paper first. Then upload scans or something and some magic happens and they're left with an unrefined version of what you end up seeing. Maybe I'm wrong idk.

But like. Is there a way for her to do her art and stuff for my website by hand on paper, and upload it and make it cleaned up for a look hat doesn't look like it's on paper and drawn? If that makes sense. I mean it won't be anything too crazy, just icons and small simple stuff. lol
yes
you don't need to draw it on paper then scan ..
just buy her a wacom tablet

OH MY GOD. Thank you so much for this.

I'm like, not into art stuff at all. She actually JUST said on Skype last night (I'm in another country for work) that she needed a tablet that she can like, see what she's drawing. I, like, had an idea something like this existed, but I'm not versed in the technology if that makes sense lol

I'm actually looking at buying this now lol, or something similar. I've got a decent bit saved up for a present for her and my anniversary.

You can either get those tablets like someone else said. Or yea you can draw on paper, no real need to paint it. Just draw, scan it in, and draw over it on Photoshop of Illustrator.

Haha yea you deff gave me the perfect anniversary gift. I know it'll make her super happy, she's never been able to get a techy toy for art so it'll be pleseant. Just wish I could be there to see her face in person :(

That's what I was thinking too but she said she hates working with a mouse, or tablets that she has to look at the screen to use. The one the user above posted like, perfectly fits what she was talking about the other night. I just watched a few YouTube videos and everyone really likes that model, and it looks super cool. Something I could use lmao
