R or Python Programming Online Tutorials or Classes

Hello everyone,

I work in a company where we analyze lots of data, more specifically manufacturing related pre and post data.

People in my department just do simple eye inspection through Excel.. Honestly I think this is really old way to analyze data especially when we have computer power to do this kind of task...

I started to learn Machine Learning in Udemy (warez disallowed) but the information are so vast.. It is more of a plug and run type of education.

For any of the experts out there, here goes my questions. My questions to experts could be total nonsense but I would really like to concentrate what I should learn.

Questions:
1. When I would like to identify defect equipment by the measurements performed in-line, what kind of machine learning topic(s) should I concentrate?

2. When I would like to analyze post data results (dependent variables) in relation to the manufacturing step's duration ((Out Time) - (Start Time)), what kind of machine learning topic(s) should I concentrate learning?

3. What kind of machine learning topics should I concentrate to, 'predict' when the equipment will be likely to need the maintenance?

Thank you for your time!
