This is actually kind of similear to somebody elses request earlier about listview but this one is using like 5 different languages and involved dynamic variables instead of arbitary static ones... so I hope your as caffienated and sleep deprived as I am no matter how stupid my example is this is very important so please help and il figure out a way to make it worth your while ive spent several hours on this and actually learned many new things but not anything to what im trying to do.. i put more rant in spoilers becuz it probably just be more confusing and im sorrry, this is very nooby in many ways but this is such an important feature its like all websites over pass it for more simple shit when honestly this is such a useful feature and i know its possable.

so im having issue with, sending 1 message to only one selected person in the listview and not everybody. how do i use php/mysqli to only select 1 person in the database to send a message to based on whatever random name magically pops up like for all listview-item-line[x] selected do in php / mysqli, which at that point i dont even know if its mysql or php that does it...

i think this is what im looking for mysql / php array can somebody help explain to me in very simple terms whats going on in a way my dumba$s can understand <3

and second issue is how do i import more than just 1 person, i need whoever is in the database loaded into the listview using php / mysqli not just one simple echo php result

I have a mysql database that will be filled with random names, some are added every couple minutes some are deleted... so the exact lines in the database table are always going to be different names like if i select my niggga james to send a message/inquiry too he might not be in the list so i cant do a simple "if nigga = james send msg" type shit becuz these results will always be random, new lines. If that makes sense ;;((

i found multiple examples on how to pull a request from a mysqli database and it worked beauootifully. however its only 1 result, how can i keep the results loading up all the mysql table lines... so i can populate my listview..


so far ive been using nothing but mysql and php... the php result produced a static echo text 'your name is james' id is: 2.

Ive been going through other source codes and they show you how to display lines of static text but not actually how to import the data line for line in it... and this seeams like its a nightmare and it shouldnt be and this sounds so nooby so im sorry

1. If you want to retrieve a particular user:
SELECT col_name FROM tbl_name WHERE col_name = whateverYouWant
So, for example, you can use ID as col_name if you have one and set it equal to 1, that would return 1st user.

2. SELECT FROM tbl_name
means that you want to return ALL the results.
