Intelligent Sin's Hack Forums Testimonial

Why I joined Hack Forums:

Back in the day I was a very shy kid who loved video games more than the world itself. You name it and I played. Call of Duty, Halo, League of Legends, Minecraft, and a slew of others. In fact, that's how I stumbled upon Hack Forums. One day, when I was playing Minecraft by myself, I began to get bored. As most of you know, Minecraft, like all other games, is more fun with friends. At the time, I didn't have many friends, maybe one or two that had no interest or connection to gaming whatsoever; so I decided to search for a friendly community that shared my interests, and that was Hack Forums. As soon as I joined I was warmly greeted by players from around the world who helped each other as a community. Nothing was expected of you, there was no harassment, and everyone got along because they shared a passion. Hack Forums was the first site I laid eyes on and the last. There was no need to look any further because I found what I was looking for. I joined Hack Forums to find a community that was full of passionate creators, and that's exactly what I found.

My Original Purpose:

When I first created an account for the site, I wanted to find cool, exclusive items for games I was interested in that couldn't be found anywhere else. I showed up with a pocket full of cash and low expectations. Most forums you venture onto have an exclusive nature; their atmosphere always wreaks of entitlement. Sure, Hack Forums had a select few individuals who were like this, but to my surprise, the majority outweighed the negative minority. Everyone was so willing to share trade secrets, gift each other useful tools, and lend a helping hand to those who desperately needed it. I came to this site needing help myself and help was what I received, and then some. Hack Forums quickly changed my selfish goal of collecting advantages into a passion for, not only the game and its mechanics, but for discussion, helping others, and making friends in the process.

New Goals:

After being on the site for a few weeks and staying rather confined in one section, my passion began to dwindle a bit. I still loved the game I was playing and helping others, but it wasn't the same as the initial rush. Though this little pothole in the road was troublesome, Hack Forums had the answer. I started to branch out and look at other aspects of the site. Soon, I realized how foolish I had been. Why had I confined myself to one section of this massive community? I branched out into the lounge, different groups, the Science, Religion, Politics, and Philosophy section, and the market place. This, this turn of events is what started to change me. Once I noticed how many people there were to talk to, how many topics there were to discuss, and how many potential business ventures to be made, I was hooked. My passion came back and my confidence skyrocketed! Before Hack Forums I had no friends, and after just a few weeks on the site, I had more friends than I could count, my shyness vanished, and I formed new goals. I decided I not only wanted to take part in this community, but I wanted to be part of the reason that new faces would feel welcomed, just like I did when I joined. I upgraded my account after a few weeks, and again in a few months, and now I've spent hundreds of dollars on this site without a single regret.

How I've Changed:

Since coming to Hack Forums I've become a new person. When I first joined I was shy, quiet, and nervous. Now, I'm a confident individual who isn't afraid to share his beliefs, speak up for the underdog, help others, and so much more. Honestly, if I wouldn't have found Hack Forums when I did, I don't know what kind of man I would be today. I've been on Hack Forums for almost 6 years now and there's not a day that goes by where I feel alone, sad, or wanting more. As long as I participate and give back like my fellow members did for me, I will always feel fulfilled and grateful for the chance at a new life Hack Forums gave me and still continues to contribute to.

In Summation:

I would just like to give a big thanks to Omniscient and the rest of the staff team who continues to maintain a friendly community. I can't imagine the amount of hard work that goes into keeping this environment a fun and facilitating place. You guys are the reason I'm the man I am today, and I hope that some day I can return the favor.
Remember Me as you go by
As you are now so once was I
As I am now so shall you be,
Prepare yourself to follow me
