I would like to give my true testimonial about how Hackforums has changed my life, and the influence this community has had on me. So, let's start at the beginning. I first started browsing Hackforums early on in my highschool career, as I randomly became interested in hacking! I had just received my own personal laptop as a Christmas gift, and I watched a movie which involved a hacker, so I thought "wow, that actually looks pretty cool". I started out scrolling through the hacking section, but with a young teenage boys mind, I was not able to learn most of the coding. Therefore, I moved on to the marketplace, and the lounge primarily. In my first years on HF, I was extremely active, and took great pride in my account. Unfortunately a situation occurred and I lost the 500+ reputation I had built up, however I wouldn't let this stop me. Little does anyone know, I was actually the individual who PM'ed Omni asking for the Rap section under music, a place where I originated the "Rap Battle" threads. Anyways, I ended up taking about a one year break from Hackforums, and here I am! I have grown so much since I joined HF back in December of 2011. To be honest, Hackforums has actually had an impact on my life beyond online, as I chose to go to business school, concentrating on online marketing, due to my experience on HF.
I started out a young, teenage boy, who just happened to stumble on the site, and now I have my business degree and am looking to make a scene in the business world. I can say with 100% honesty, that without HF, I would not be nearly as successful as I am right now. Thank you to all of the users of Hackforums for making up this wonderful community. 🤝
