So I was skimming the web mindlessly and I'm not thinking of learning mobile app hacking anytime soon. But I saw a video at my cyber security club. It was of a cyber security researcher who found a flaw in mobile apps, that is not jailbreaking but looks similar at first glance. He was speaking at DEFCON about how people never improve their mobile apps' security.
I mean, he said that mobile apps were insecure and that large companies failed to update their mobile applications time and time again.
Anyways, I was browsing the web and found this book (not related to the same guy):
https://www.amazon.com/Mobile-Applicatio...p_rm_img_2
I'm not thinking of reading it anytime soon, but it made me think it would be a good recommendation, not for people like me, but for more advanced members, to have a mobile application hacking section. I think it would be pretty damn cool because it would give some insight we don't already have into the subject.
Also, mobile app hacking can be used to get passwords for various apps. The guy in the video we watched, which I do not have a link to, showed the audience by plugging a phone into his computer and basically used a program on his computer to hack individual apps and get passwords out of them.
His strategies for doing so, I do not understand, since I'm not that advanced. But it really made me think. I definitely would want to understand this type of thing, even though it's not my #1 goal and I don't think I am going there anytime soon.
But a mobile app hacking section would be cool to have on this site IMO.
