While I understand people will violate rules regardless of how obvious they are posted, this specific rule is posted in the RuneScape section under the 'Gaming' Tab.


This rule is posted nowhere else that I know of, which means parties contemplating selling a RuneScape account would have to have the foresight to go to the gaming section to find that rule. My suggestion is adding it somewhere in the Marketplace or with the Help Docs.

While I do not know if people simply do not know about this rule or do not care, there are 10+ RuneScape Account sales threads active at any given time throughout the Market Place section.

I myself am guilty of this as I ran a sales thread for several weeks (Months ago) until it was taken down by Minimalist. At the time I was very confused about the infraction as I had read through the Marketplace rules and the Help Docs in its entirety. It wasn't until Minimalist told me directly that the rule was found the RuneScape gaming section (a section that I had never visited at the time) that I knew my wrong doing.

RuneScape accounts can be sold. I misinterpreted the rule and gave you a warning - the rule is in that section to remind users that deals must be conducted in the Marketplace. Apologies for the warning.
