Hey guys, I have a question

is it possible to still upgrade from ios7 to 9.0.2 even though apple stopped signing it? through like a custom recovery that has the 9.0.2?

is it possible to do such a thing? I know you can on android but on ios i dnt know

any advice would be great. i have this old ipad 3 which i found on ios7 which is jailbroken but running really slow, wanted to update to 9.0.2 to continue with the jailbroken ipad

I'm pretty sure you can always upgrade iOS no mather what you upgrade to, but you can't downgrade.
I haven't been in the jailbreaking game for 3-4+ years though, not sure if it's changed.

But just be aware, your iPad will just get even more slow if you update it. The newer updates requires even more than the older ones did.

Hm interesting, thought maybe it would run smoother. maybe now ill just do a full wipe and jailbreak again on ios7. see if that makes it better.

Whiping it is your best option, but jailbreak is also taking a lot of performance.

Quick answer to your question: No. You can only upgrade to the latest iOS Version.
