Interview - Kanami
bοxxy: Hello and welcome to the 338th edition of the HF News. Before we begin, would you like to make any shoutouts?
Kanami: Shoutout to Kyoto eSports. It will forever be my Company, Child, and Challenge.
bοxxy: That's what's up. I'd like to start the interview off with something simple. What brought you to Hack Forums, and what keeps you visiting and being active within the community?
Kanami: I was brought to Hackforums in 2012 when I had an interest in simple low capital investing, small venture capitalism to be precise. I remain active today because the community continues to develop in unprecedented ways and the marketplace remains one of the most prodigious on the internet.
bοxxy: Very interesting. Hack Forums has been through a lot, and has changed in many ways. Do you feel the site is headed in a positive direction, or going downhill since you're stay here?
Kanami: I would say positive direction but unfortunately the marketplace over the past year has seen new levels of saturation.
bοxxy: I agree on some aspects. Now I want to add on to your previous response. Has Hack Forums in general played a particular role in shaping, and or helping yourself improve and succeed? This could be in terms of financially, emotionally, etc.
Kanami: Financially speaking, yes it has. By selling few of my methods on HF, I have helped others learn how to earn online which also provides me with emotional fulfillment.
bοxxy: Ah, nice. Do you have any advice for new users trying to get into the Marketplace, and tips for being safe while partaking in Marketplace activities?
Kanami: Try your hardest to look at people's reputation, never go into a deal with someone who has a deal dispute against them, and if something looks too good to be true then simply put it is too good to be true.
bοxxy: Ah, plus we have the Deal Dispute Database which makes things a whole lot easier. Aside from the thriving Marketplace infrastructure here on Hack Forums, what other forums/aspects do you particularly enjoy?
Kanami: I enjoy the groups and have just recently started partaking in them. I am in wallflower and am soon to be added to the marketers.
bοxxy: Groups have indeed changed over the years, I kind of miss the old style and environment they provided. What is your opinion on groups in general, and or how they've either gotten better or worse over time?
Kanami: I think they have slowly declined in activity and need a surge in members to return groups back to their old glory.
bοxxy: I agree. The group market used to be insane a bit back, with groups selling easily for over $9,000 USD. Now groups aren't reaching those prices anymore. Do you think groups are a good 'investment' as some users on the forums would see it as that?
Kanami: Some may say that, however, it really depends on the price. With the current market saturation of groups, the prices will stagnate. Nevertheless, if members come back to utilizing groups as a second community on HF, then we will see a price increase.
bοxxy: Hmm, interesting. Going to switch things up a bit. Now I'm going to assume that you take interest in Anime based on your profile. Do you have any advice for shows to get into for someone like me that doesn't particularly seek out Animes?
Kanami: I would recommend to take a look at shows like Attack on Titan, One Punch Man, or Sword Art Online; these shows are massively popular with American audiences and hold wonderful narratives. However, if you're willing to take a step outside the box, watch Cowboy Bebop.
bοxxy: I actually recognize those titles, and from what I've seen I can somewhat agree already. Now before we wrap this Interview up, is there anything else you'd like to add/say?
Kanami: I would like to say to anyone reading this interview, challenge yourself. Whether it be, picking up a new instrument, playing a sport you've never played, or simply talking to a girl you've never spoken to, try to challenge yourself at least once a day. Thank you Boxxy, Omni, and HF!(edited)

Minor Edition
As you can tell, we only have a few sections out. This is due to a few factors: inactive members, not enough members, and the switch to our new backend system. Hoping 339 will be back to normal but we may be still adjusting to things so please bear with us for the next two editions. To clarify, backend system is essentially how we work behind the scenes. I've decided the old way wasn't good enough and caused a lot of problems. On-Call team was created to minimize those problems but it took us one step forward, two steps back. The new system breaks people into groups who govern each other but also have some oversight implemented. It's a HF-oriented SCRUM system if you're familiar with it. MeshCollider and Computer Craft will be developing a website platform to complement our new system with tools and a better structure than forums and threads. Thank you.

U.S Takes Down Kelihos Botnet After Its Russian Operator Arrested in Spain
Peter Yuryevich Levashov, 32, was recently arrested by the FBI for being the suspected operator of the Kelihos botnet. The Kelihos botnet had a global network of over 100,000 infected computers which all carried out tasks to steal login passwords, deliver spam, infect ransomware and malware, since 2010. The Russian computer programmer was arrested over the weekend in Barcelona. Levashov, also known as Peter Severa is also listed as one of the World’s top 10 worst spammers, maintained by anti-spam group Spamhaus, and has given him 7th in the list.

Shadow Brokers Group Releases More Stolen NSA Hacking Tools and Exploits
The hacking group that released multiple tools belonging to the NSA have released even more information on other tools once again. The hacking group Shadow Brokers gained fame last year in August 2016 after releasing the hacking tools belonging to the NSA that contained malware, zero-day (0day) exploits, and implants and now leaked a portion of those tools are back. The Shadow Brokers group claim that these new tools that they have leaked belonged to "Equation Group", an elite cyber-attack unit linked to the NSA. It seems this time around the Shadow Brokers group took to auction for these new NSA tools, asking for 1,000,000 Bitcoins (around $568,000,000). As the auction failed, the Shadow Brokers group took to an underground website that hosted the exploits for direct sale, categorising them as Exploits, Trojans, and Implant. Each of the NSA owned tools within these categories were all ranging from one to 100 Bitcoins ($780 to $78,000). However, the Shadow Brokers has finally released the password which will decrypt the cache of NSA's files, which forwards the ability for anyone to be able to unlock and download the auction data dump.
