I have ESET internet security and am trying to use a RAT but when I add a exclusion nothing changes and it still instantly deletes it. Any help would be appreciated

Try adding an exclusion for the directory you have the RAT in. Let me know.

Do urself a favor and get a VM setup

ESET should let you disable protection for a set amount of time, but WeedmasterOG is correct, VM setup is the way to go. Any traffic coming from your RAT while ESET is active (regardless of any exclusions) will cause ESET to take a dump and delete the RAT.
