Icons on desktop not sticking to proper grid

Hey, ever since I've updated to the Creators update Windows 10 released I've had this super weird bug, right after restart when updates where finished.

Look at the picture I attached, the strip at the bottom left is empty, if I try moving icons there they randomly assign themselves another spot than one that I'm dropping them on with the mouse, or just go any other place on the desktop, just not in that strip.

It's basically an align to grid problem, as far as I can tell.
Anyone know what the issue is?

I can mess up my whole desktop and eventually get them to stay in place normally but right after restart they go all over the place again and that area appears as empty again. It's really annoying.

Try holding down the ctrl key and then using the scroll wheel to adjust the size of the icons up or down a size. You probably have the icons set to a size that prevents them from fitting properly in the bottom row and Windows isn't quite sure what to do. Might not solve the problem, but it's worth a shot.

Christ, I didn't know you could do that. I have them set to small from the right click menu and naturally I assumed that would take care of the size, I must've hit ctrl + scroll at some point without realizing.

Thanks, it apparently solved the issue. I'll double check after I'm able to do a restart.
Your taskbar needs to autohide

Thanks but nope. It was the icon size as stated above (plus I don't like/want it to autohide, it needs to be fixed at all times)
