Hello everyone, I'm here offering a service to set up a free to use VPN that is private to you and very high quality. The only catch is that you HAVE to be a student in college (I'm not sure if all colleges count, but you can always check for yourself.).

The method is completely public, but time consuming. I'm offering a quick and stress-free service to get your VPN up and running with no hassle.

The method is using the GitHub Student Developer Pack to use the $50 voucher for Digital Ocean. This gives you 10 months of free, high quality, reliable VPN access ($5/mo with $50 voucher = 10 months).

To check if you are eligible: log in to your GitHub account from the link above and enter your student details. NOTE: Your account needs to be linked to a .edu email. I'm not sure if you can get away with just using a .edu or if they some how check your school's registration for you.

So you found that you are eligible, GREAT! You next step is setting up a Digital Ocean account and using your $50 voucher. When that is done, I'll take over and set up your server with an OpenVPN server that is easy to use on your desktop, laptop, smartphone, or tablet.

Can I get a vouch copy?

When do I have to pay?
If you are an upgraded member, I will let you pay after I have set up the service. If you are not an upgraded member, I will need payment upfront before I do any work.

Why can't I just do this myself?
You can! There are plenty of guides online to setting up your very own OpenVPN server and if you feel that you are curious enough to give it a shot, do it! My service just allows you to sit back through the technical parts if you don't feel up to the challenge.

What can I do if I don't qualify for the student pack?
As of right now, I don't know any other way to get free access. However, if you are willing to pay the $5/mo for a private VPN, I would be more than willing to help you set it up!

How long does this free VPN last?
The simply answer is 10 months. However, if you expand your service or otherwise change something to increase your monthly bill, the $50 vouch may be used up quicker than 10 months. It is your responsibility to know how much money is left in your account and how much more time that will allow you to access the VPN.

Why can't I just get a premium VPN from a company that sells them? That's easier right?
Yes, I'm sure it would be easier, but it would cost a lot more. Not to mention, owning your own VPN ensures that no logs are collected. Also, popular VPNs can cost around $10/mo racking up over $100/year in charges. With my service, you pay a onetime $10 and get access for 10 months!

Do your provide support for the VPN?
Sure! I can help you get started getting access to your Student Developer Pack, I can help you keep the server running optimally, and I can help you keep the server online after the 10 months are up. Also, if you like the idea and want to make your server stronger and faster for more devices, I can help you expand the server to accommodate those changes.

How many locations do I get?
Just one. However, if you really want to more, you can get access to more server, each for $5/mo.

What locations are there?
New York City, San Francisco, Amsterdam, Singapore, London, Frankfurt, Toronto, and Bangalore. I personally use NYC since that is closed to me and gives me the best latency.

How fast is the server?
Here is a screenshot of my SpeedTest on my VPN. I pay for 35mbps down 5 mbps up with my ISP and my connection speeds are unchanged through the VPN.

Can I add a domain?
You sure can! If you already have a domain and want to use that for your server, I can help you set that up too (for a small additional fee, of course).

Yupp, just figured there had to be some people out there that are either not knowledgeable enough to do it or would rather spend $10 to have someone else do it than spend an hour or so doing it themselves.
