I am Τrust and this is my testimonial of almost five years.
How it started:
I'm not too sure on how I discovered Hack Forums. I recall wanting to view a certain thread, but not being able to as I was not a registered user at the time. This was in mid-2012, however. I would not begin to be an active poster until around December of 2014. It was then that I began establishing myself as a legitimate Hack Forums member and started to build relationships with other members.
What has happened through the years:
While I started as a nobody, I began getting more involved in the community and thus started building up more reputation. The first group that I would join would be The Empire. It was when I got my acceptance letter to The Empire (as well as Respawn 2.0 shortly after) that I truly began to felt like I had accomplished something as a member and that I was a valued member of the community. This was only the beginning, however, as I would go on to be part of several groups on Hack Forums. I was even considered a "group whore" at one point, but it didn't matter to me... I loved the feeling of being let into a group. I loved the feeling of being accepted. Somewhere in the middle of all of this, I would become an official Hack Forums writ3r. The writ3rs of the time were probably the best friends of made on Hack Forums, even to this day. I still have a place in my heart for Sir, wherever he may be. I took my duties as a writ3r seriously and was one of the only users to consistently have their news section out on time. This changed, however, when iHydra took over. Perhaps it was just unfortunate timing, but I became less and less active when this happened and I was almost always late getting my section of the news out. I just didn't have the time to commit to it, but lacked the maturity to accept that as I wanted to still carry the title of writ3r. It meant a lot to me. In August of 2016, I left for United States Marine Corps recruit training. I vacation banned myself for three months as that's how long the training lasts. However, I wound up coming home early due to a hard to explain medical issue. Since I left and came back, I haven't been all too active. I think it's time to change that...
What is going to happen from here:
I'm going to try and be active again on Hack Forums. I'd like to be just as active, if not more active, as I used to be. Is that realistic? I don't know, but I'm going to try and do my best. I've made a lot of friends on Hack Forums and established a lot of relationships. Many of those friends are gone while a select few are still here. I'm thankful for the role Hack Forums has played in my life. For just a random website on the internet, it has meant a lot to me. I've had a ton of good times and almost just as many bad times, but I've fully enjoyed the ride these past five years and I'm looking forward to enjoying five more. It's time to start fresh...
It's time to start again.
(I'd like to humbly thank anyone who took the time to read this testimonial [assuming it gets posted] in it's entirety. The Hack Forums journey for me has been an exciting one and I hope the next five years are just as, if not more, exciting!)
