Policy Question

If a person admits to scamming can they be banned?

If they straight out admit to scamming (on-site), can they be banned?
Nope. HF does not get involved in deal disputes.

Omni sometimes bans them if it was a huge scammer that would impact the community negatively or if they admit it.

Just take a look at this, dude scams 4k+ and is roaming the site freely.

I swear I read that if they admit to scamming, literally say "I scammed him" or whatever he can get banned.

Actually, if the person out-right admits to it and there's compelling evidence, then yes on occasion staff do intervene.

The Help Documents answer your question, OP.
Quote:Our staff on occasion will ban a scammer, if the evidence is on site and apparent.

Edit: Also, don't expect staff to do so.

Yep but their not going to admit to it, at least not on-site.

Possible that if the platform they use to admit has been verified on site then it would still count for something.
What do you consider E-Whoring to be? It's scamming in some form right?

Wouldn't really call that "out-right" admitting to scamming someone. Anyhow, your question has been answered. Staff do not generally intervene in scam reports and you shouldn't expect them to do so.
You make your deal dispute if you have been scammed, that's it. Don't expect staff members to get involved, doesn't matter if the user admits to scamming, they will look into it if they have a reason to do so (their own reason, not yours). They have always been clear with that.
I guess you made this htread because of the 4 gbp scam? oMullholland kinda admitted it.

I don't ewhore but I don't see how it's scamming the people?

For example

They pay for 10 photos, They get 10 photos.

It's just reselling?

Fair enough. I guess it's just more of a misleading way of selling things.
Scammers are banned all the time. I've seen members banned for admitting to scamming on site but it's not exactly something that happens a lot and you should never PM a staff member about something like that.

Its at staff's discretion.

Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.
