BEST WIFI REPEATER/EXTENDER ?

Hi everyone. Anyone have any thoughts on the longest range wifi repeaters/extenders/routers on the market. I have had a tenda router with 3 x 5 dbi antennas that worked great but has died as i had it outside under cover for a couple of years and moisture finally got in.

Had a toto one also with 3 x 9 dbi which wasn't half as good.

Looking for real world reviews. Cheers
My suggestion would be to just create your own. Look up the most powerful router that supports OpenWRT or DD-WRT and get it. Then you can change it to work exactly as a repeater. Its what I've done to better help the signal from my shitty hotspot.
What would you recon the most powerful router that supports ddwrt would be. What o am looking for is a make and model of a router that people have actually used

No idea. I use a Netgear R6100 for my shit. It works okay but the signal isn't strong at longer distances.
Anyone? Excuse the bump. Looking fo max range
for repeater or range extender use Linksys RE4100W.

i'm using tplink wr841ND powered by openwrt, with 9dbi omni antennas. It's cheapest and most stable solution, 2 years without any problems ever, not even reset was needed.
Netgear Range Extender Universal Wi-Fi N300
Why wouldn't you just get an AP? Extenders/repeaters are the dumbest idea if you can have a wired connection back to your network and extend wireless coverage from there. People don't get it. If you say a wireless router is an option, then surely unless you intend on using it in some kind of extender/repeater mode, you'll have an ethernet cable going to it to give it access to the rest of your network.

Totolink is a good extender to use :)
