Becoming better and better with each episode

Was planning to watch it since I saw it recommended. Didn't know it was all in Chinese so I dropped.

[Fragger]

I only got 3 or so eps into it and I thought it was meh, but I'll carry on watching it now and let you know what I think after a few more.

Kyrus's Review and Summary of The King's Avatar Anime series.
This review contains a few spoilers.

Synopsis
In the online multiplayer game "Glory", Ye Xiu is regarded as a textbook and a top-tier pro-player. However, due to a myriad reasons, he is kicked from the team. After leaving the pro scene, he finds work in an Internet Cafe as a manager. When Glory launches its tenth server, he throws himself in to the game once more. Possessing ten years of experience, the memories of his past, and an incomplete, self-made weapon, his return along the road to the summit begins!

Personal Opinion
Lets face it.. Anime that isn't Japanese is shit! This one is Chinese however the animation style and plot isn't that far off. It takes the "virtual game" genre in a new setting and did a great job keeping my eyes on the screen.

Final Review

The Story is about a professional mmo player who gets replaced from his team and had to give up his account as equal terms for the termination of his contract. After having his blood and sweat stripped from him, he finds his way into a Internet Cafe. The boss there decides to hire him as a manager and MC begins to smurf on a new server on Glory.

The Characters are pretty distinct from each other.

You have the antagonist; the scummy team manager that dropped Ye Xiu (MC) from the team.

While the protagonists; Ye Xiu who's pride remains strong even after having his pride stepped on. The replacement player attempts to taunt Ye Xiu and Ye Xiu was not even enraged. Instead he responds with "do you like this game?".
Ye Xiu is a very likeable character. He resorts to working at a Internet Cafe because he's spent all his money on his friends; who.. like him, are gamers. These gamers have no clue in life besides gaming and so Ye Xiu took care of those who were left behind in the gaming industry.
Mu Chen (a fellow team member) was also against Ye Xiu's termination. The smurf account that Ye Xiu starts to play on was originally created by Mu Chen.

Chen Guo (Cafe Boss) is a huge fan of Ye Xiu, however doesn't realize that he's the real deal. Right now she remains as a neutral faction, however it's highly likely later on she'll become a protagonist too.

The Conflict between the protagonists and antagonists is obviously money. The manager wants a new trend and decides that Ye Xiu is outdated. An expired idol. Ye Xiu has to wait a whole year and gave up his leader account (which is the team's mascot basically) as "equal terms" for his termination from the team because he cannot afford the early termination fee's due to spending all his money on his friends.

Overall the anime introduces a great brand new concept to the Online Gaming anime genre where it spends equal screening time on the in-game actions and the real life settings for our characters. The setting fits a lot of the modern gamers today and allows us to understand the main character's sorrow and frustration even when Ye Xiu doesn't show those emotions on his face.
This is the golden fruit created from China's investment in anime and will probably end up being their best work ever.
The soundtracks in the anime fits almost perfectly to every situation at hand and furthers our relationship with Ye Xiu by sharing our emotions.
The only problem is the Chinese dialog lol, its pretty weird to listen to them speak Chinese but you'll get over it after the first episode.

My final verdict is that if you're looking for a SAO vibe, this is it. This series easily beats Log Horizon imo. You will not be disappointed by the story at all. In fact, I'm pretty sure that you'll be hooked just like me from only watching the first episode.

This might sound racist since I prefer English dubs but Japanese and Chinese sound basically the same to me. Nothing detrimental to keep me from watching. I've only watched the first episode so far but I like it and can tolerate it.

I really love the opening theme :) However chinese is quite the change in terms of vocals compared to japanese (not that I would understand either) :P

Im at ep 6 so far :)

A friend told me to watch it but the fact that is chinese disturbs me
I'll give it a try

Debating if I should read the manga after anime finish airing or just binge read it while still watching anime.

This show is definitely one of the best anime shows when it comes to animation quality and fight choreography
just wish it was further into the plot.
what kind of fucking elitist weeb do you have to be to not like a show because of the chinese voices? if its a good show, who cares what language its in. they could talk in clicks like the african tribes in the sahara desert for all i care

There's a manga? Thought it was just a light novel.
