Has anyone here ever set up something in which when an email is received from a specific person, a google function is called?

I'm basically trying to set up a failsafe for my Ethereum miner. When the mining rig goes offline, I get a warning email. I want this email to trigger a google function which I will program to send a web request to my smart plug to turn my rig off and then back on.

Programming isn't the issue, it's the email triggering a google function.
