Have you guys heard of Ubiq?

I got a PM about it, it looks somewhat interesting so far.
I'm wondering if anyone here's heard about it so they can explain a few things,
I'm just really wanting to know what makes this unique, what language it's based on , etc.
If you want to have a look here's their website : https://ubiqsmart.com/
its just an ethereum clone....nothing innovative. they were jumbucks previously and then created Ubiq. They implemented a conversion of Jumbucks to Ubiq. They always mention how they have no ICO and no premine but what about the converted jumbucks? I'm assuming the team had tons of jumbucks.

I got in low around 8k and made some nice profits but after interacting with their team everything seemed fishy.

James Clayton of expanse wrote about how they are part of a pump and dump crew.

Their github doesnt show much progress. The only changes they've made are find and replace calls to replace naming from go-ethereum to go-ubiq and some other similar changes.

They try to show progress by going to conferences but they aren't producing anything new to the code base. If you are looking for a better ethereum clone might as well go with expanse.

Also, they worked with Ace to get Apex (APX) ventures to use Ubiq. Just looking at Apx Ventures you can tell its a total scam.
Ace is heavily invested in Ubiq which I wouldn't doubt that Apx was created to help Ubiq

Really helpful information. What did you talk regarding with the team?

had 500k Ubiquoin....sadly that isn't UBIQ and it's a shitcoin on yobit.... got a bit excited when I saw it, obviously that excitement was shortlasted....

On topic....
UBIQ has small potential purely because, as the user said above, they aren't bringing much new to the table. Though, the technology itself is what holds its value, and hence it's still a good coin to hold onto for the long run.
It's a smart contract of ETH from what I know so far
