So recently I purchased an Intel Core i3 4170 processor and I also bought an EVGA GTX 1050 Ti.

My aim was to play GTA V maxed out with everything at the highest setting, but I think I made a mistake by buying only a dual core i3 processor.

I was on a budget at the time and just wanted something to see me through for a while.

I'm now in the process of looking to upgrade again and need something with a bit more omph.

I have an ASUS H81M PLUS Motherboard and was wondering what LGA1150 processor would go best with my GPU and 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Look for a locked Core i5 or Core i7.

I'd look for a Xeon E3 1231 V3. Essentially an i7, but no graphics.
