[Win a Group Spot!] Consensus | Code a Website

Hello,

We, Consensus are looking for a user who can code us a website. This website is going to be very much like a 'play' stock site – instead of stocks, it should be for cryptocurrencies. This site is ONLY going to be used on Hack Forums, so it should just be branded in the name of Consensus.

How the website should work:
  1. Be able to buy coins
  2. Be able to sell bought coins
  3. Have a set amount of money (We choose for all users)
  4. Have a set buy-time (when we close the buy-window, then you can no longer buy coins, only sell them)
  5. Have a leaderboard over the people with the highest profit margin
  6. Coins should have a legitimate growth, and therefore real coins should be used (Could take the numbers off of coinmarketcap/another API)
We are looking to have this website done within five days, and your price will be an invitation to Consensus +/ $50.

Thank you,
Lookin
I mean i'm a web developer but this would take a while.. if you want it live and interactive like Poloniex. I love the idea, but man would you need to put in the hours. Good luck!

EDIT: OP says 3 days, it's not gunna happen but i will take my hat off to whomever does it in that timeframe.
An invite to a group forum for all that work in such a small amount of time? Lol.
This would be a huge project... I have been looking to startup an exchange though if you need investors shoot me a PM
Where are all my friends

I was told someone could do it within a week, but sadly they had to go on vacation. I guess I could update the time-frame to five days - would that be reasonable enough?

Nobody asked you to post your opinion.

Not an exchange – just a 'play' market. 😊

Of course, no one did. But I can state my opinion all I want.
Was going to begin the bashing process but I'll let this play out and see where it goes. 🙂

Five days? For measly invite and $50?
Good luck finding someone.

I'm not trying to sound rude but nobody is going to want to do this.
If you're able to increase your budget I may be able to have this arranged.

Considering three people offered to do this for free, with no group invitation wanted to do this, then I actually heavily doubt it. Consensus is not a measly lounge group where nothing happens. It is a group filled with high quality and sophisticated members who partake in frequent contributions in the Hack Forums crypto section. I wanted to have this done as soon as possible, but if nobody, as you state, wants to do this, then I'll just go with one of the other ones. Only reason I didn't pick one of them, is due to the fact, that they didn't have time right now.
You want it to be a virtual exchange where no trading is involved or a real exchange ?
So you basically want a site like Investopedia's Simulator?

You've got to be mad if you think this is a fair deal hahaha
Good luck

Correct, just with cryptocurrencies instead. It can be VERY basic in terms of layout. It does not have to be fancy at all, I wouldn't even mind if all it had was a buy, sell, portfolio and leaderboard button. It wouldn't even need to have any graphs or anything, just as long as it updates the price of the coins and calculates how much profit the investor is in.

But would such a thing be unrealistic since each buy order affects the market and the real life market won't fit?
