C#/.NET Winform themes for VS15?

I got a prj in c# and it's all complete, but it uses default winforms theme.
The person I made the application for does not like it at all.
So I did some research and I have to use wpf instead of winforms to get proper graphical render performance for the UI instead of using winforms?

So I looked it up again, and there's one dude from this forums who made ThemeBase v154 (latest).
I've used this in vs10 (it works), but it does not work in vs15.
Is there any chance or way to get a theme working over my default winforms skin in vs15? How?
Damn, that sucks so bad. If you play with the back colours/text, it's not the perfect option, but you can get some nice designs. (Just a suggestion)

That's indeed one option, but nothankzz. It looks too cheap and low quality.
It is this method that you mean
h t t p : / / stackoverflow.com/questions/1592876/make-a-borderless-form-movable

That kinda sucks.

This is why you make a strict deal with a detailed spec sheet. Discuss things like this beforehand. Make sure he is in for no surprises and so are you.

There's no deal. no money invlolved or sth.
It was a project I worked on for fun. If he wants to use it for his uses it needs a new theme.
So this is me asking for possibilities here. Maybe some peeps here can help me out?

Themebase creator is from here too?

Why would you care so much to put this effort for him in then?

Maybe... just maybe... because it's fun as he stated?

@OP:

What kind of theme you want really depends on your taste. Are you looking for anything in particular? You could always try the search function to find one of those threads that have all the themes released here collected.

WPF is not necessary, albeit it is pretty damn good in terms of GUI programming. It does, however, have quite a bit of a learning curve. It really depends on whether you want to spend the time to get the hang of WPF first.

Also, what kind of errors are you getting when you tried using the theme in VS15? Maybe we can help you out with that instead?

Please, just look up any of 3 commercial components I linked and stay away from HF themes.

But wait. Wiki says :
"Windows Presentation Foundation (or WPF) is a graphical subsystem by Microsoft for rendering user interfaces in Windows-based applications."

So this means I have to use XAML combined with DirectX instead 👹

This question is really irrelevant..
But hey, I feel like telling it since it's no secret. Some people I just care about, and other I don't. Some people deserve my time and effort. This project was made for fun and the learning curve. Because hey what do you know. Themes? I don't know much about it, because I generally don't care about how the GUI looks but rather if the program does what it is designed for.

The project is basically some logic for updating clients data for a game a friend was working on which is working now with dev tools to update repo/db so new or existing clients can download the data from cdn servers worldwide and always have the latest and greatest binary files and other data files such as the textures, maps, ...
If I made something for free for someone and he went and told me to change the guitar not only wouldn't I do it I wouldn't give him the program at all.
I know there is much WPF hate around here, but put the time into it and learn it. Xaml is easy to understand and if you understand it you can design for UWP, Xamarin. Its really worth it and you also have your standart toolbox, where you can drag your controls without writting xaml at all.

MVVM, Databinding makes designing and maintaing Software sooo much easier.

Give it a shot.

Some people just don't like the stock visual design. It looks too oldschool for them.

Will give it a shot and see how I find it.
