Windows partition files missing [HELP]

I feel like I've fucked up badly, hoping someone can help me - it'll be greatly appreciated.

I attempted to set up a dual-boot with Windows 10 & Linux Mint. I ran through the Linux mint installation and went through with the 'Run Linux alongside of windows' and hit install.

I can manage to boot Linux mint (although half the time it doesn't boot, I get a black screen. After turning laptop off and on several times I manage to get Linux loaded.

Windows is a no go at all, I've tried the recovery options etc and they all come back with 'missing windows partition files'

Is there a way to recover this? Perhaps installing windows 10 onto a USB and booting/installing it from that - will this fix the missing files and get me back to where I was?

Half of the time I can't enable wifi on Linux mint either, sometimes it works. Otherwise I have to keep restarting it till it works. I can't keep my laptop like this its a nightmare and would appreciate help fixing this!

I'm very new with linux, I wanted dual boot to start learning it. Please bare in mind my understanding might not be great if it's not dumbed down for me.

Thank you,
from the linux side you can probably backup your windows files if your C partition still exists..
Sounds like you need to reload windows.

You may be able to delete the linux partition and expand the windows disk back to normal size using a recovery CD.

you may have lost your data though. If it is gone try booting to a windows USB and running recuva, may be able to get some files back
