Computer Randomly Freezes?

At random while playing a game (tested with LoL and CSGO) my computer will just freeze. I thought maybe it was a power supply issue so i replaced the power supply with a brand new one and it still does it (Before it would freeze with a sound loop and now it just comes to a complete stop instantly.)

Things Ive Tried:
  • New videocard

  • new power supply

  • Ran MemTest for 9 hours (no error return)

  • Fresh install of windows

SPECS:
OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q8200 2.33 GHz
Motherboard: XFX nForce 750i SLI
Memory: 4GB DDR2 XM2 Corsair
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTS 250
Power Supply: EVGA 500W

Does it happen only when you play?

How about hdd/sdd? Did you try to check it?
And what are the temperatures of cpu/gpu when you are playing?
It might the termal paste check your temp,
+ if u using old hd, there might be bad sectors, test them out!
Most freezing occurs when system resources become inaccessible. Such as that corrupt system files, some situations with drivers, a loose hardware connection, or failing GPU, will make certain crucial resources not available and thus the system cannot operate. It's quite a damaging failure to have because it often worsens the problem by further corrupting system files and creating errors for hard disk drives. Its really like pulling the power when the PC is running, even though that is really the only option to reboot the machine.

Also suggesting to check the drive for errors with chkdsk. Also you probably want to use something like Piriform's defraggler to check the disks overall health state and fragmentation. You may also check the event viewer to see if there are any related tickets. Windows has a reliability monitor MMC snap-in to which can help troubleshoot such things.
I just put a fresh windows 7 install on.. updating and such going to see what happens.. The harddrive is only 2 years old, when i ran tests it didnt come back like it was an issue but ill try running chkdsk see what happens. Temps are normal. Highest ive seen it go (with coreTemp and built in monitor on case) is about 50 C. i just repasted and put in a new Cooler which is a screw down cooler and its on tight with plenty of paste. So far its only happened one time outside when im playing a game which it happened while watching a youtube video..

im assuming all drivers are up to date and compatable with windows 10? did it just start to happen?
I was going to say malware scan.....but if you did a fresh W7 install, that would take that out.
Weird scenario lmao.. And yes it was all fresh and all drivers claim to be windows 10 compatible but i downgraded it and put another fresh install of windows 7 on it.. and the crashing has stopped but every now and again when playing a game my screen goes black and and then comes back about 20 seconds later.. My guess is the motherboard is just slowly dying because its old but it should last me until i can get a new one in the short future :) thanks guys :D
