Firewall rule failure

So recently I have gotten into ARP spoofing. I am sure most of you reading this know because I have posted a few of my issues here, thanks for the help by the way, you guys are the best <3. Anyways, I have this textbook on ethical hacking that I recently received and figured I'd try to resolve some of my own problems and do some reading along the way for education. I am trying to figure out a way to get HTTPS data to not be encrypted. I am studying a chapter that covers a small amount of spoofing and IP forwarding and stuff. I stumbled across SSL Strip and I read up on it and it sounds like exactly what I need. I come to this code the book gives:

iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp -destination-port 80 -j REDIRECT -to-port 8080

To change the port things come in and out of, I attempted to use this. Unfortunately I got an error that says:

"Bad argument '80'"

See this confuses me because I know that this book is used to college classes and I feel like the issue doesnt come from the code, instead I have a feeling it might be my set up or my previous code or something?

I think it is worth mentioning that the book gives code to make ALL traffic go to my PC and then the router, while I was trying to ARP spoof one PC and not the whole network.

Lastly I must ask, is this considered spamming? I have asked different questions on the same topic that I feel was of quality, but it has been multiple posts over the same topic so I could see that argument as well, so if an admin could let me know if I am breaking any rules or such, I will surely stop if requested. Thanks for all the help and support. I plan to be a member of this growing community and maybe one day help people that are in a similar position as myself.
Use "--dport 80" instead of "-destination-port 80".
As ticktock mentioned, your syntax is a bit off.

Example from man page :

PHP Code

<?php
--source-port, --sport [!] port[:port]
--
destination-port, --dport [!] port[:port]

It is allways good to take quick look into man pages ;)
