Unless your router has remote management or you forward ports to devices/services on your network, there isn't much that can be done with an IP.
Your typical run of the mill IP tracker "tracks" IP addresses utilizing a database of locations provided by ISPs for such purposes. The accuracy of the IP "tracker" is more or less up to the accuracy of the ISP's database. Usually you can assume that it is accurate down to the city, like Monie mentioned.
There is a surprising amount that someone can do with your IP in fact. This is not just limited to router and/or network centered intrusions. With an IP address, you can search a variety of databases to find possible emails, passwords, and other information that has been leaked. You can also try to identify Skype accounts via resolver databases which you can search. Also, it is possible, however uncommon, for people to SE your ISP into providing personal information such as your address, last 4 of your SSN, etc. This is called ISP doxing, and for the most part has become obsolete due to better in-company training. Bad boyz (hackers) can also do some nasty shit with your IP such as spoofing to your IP to send packets/data that your ISP considers "inappropriate", resulting in them eventually refusing to provide you with any internet service :D
Hope that rant helped.
