It just got uploaded to chillmusic 2.0, but I'm looking for some feedback on what could have been better mixing wise.

But still happy of the outcome!

ahh you so kind blue! and thanks for the rep :o

Warms my heart :)
You should try to direct people in how to even get anything like this started.

I think it sounds good. If you could fit in some vocals even better. The key here is 'fit'

Hey Loses, you mean how to make tracks like this or?
Sure if people are up for it, I could "teach" I mainly use Ableton live, but used fl studio a lot as well.
I have been producing for quite some time, but more festival bangers and trance, but turned over to chill, since I got a dream of having one my tracks in a movie.

And thanks! the note was taken :)
Thought of something, if you listen to lofi chill hop bests a lot of them have.. Idk what the term is. Not vocals like singing but they have audi clips like from speeches or quotes.

I know this is quite different but this has charlie chaplains great dictator speech in it and it fits perfectly IMO. Could try something like that.

I love this, particular the sample of ambience you have used. If you're looking for some inspiration check out the artist "Finding Hope" on Soundcloud. His remix of November is probably my fave chill track.

Love the pads in the intro too. Really the only feedback I have for this track is the mix down. Everything sounds really central and glued together, not necessarily muddy tho. I definitely feel like a professional mix down would really help this track bring it to like MrSuicideSheep level (and Im not just saying that). A professional mix down would help all the elements find their own place in the mix. Mid/side EQ for some of the cymbals, and those vocal one shots could really help the track. I really like this track a lot and I cant stress how a professional mix down would benefit it.

That being said lets move onto branding (even though you didnt ask). Why spend hundreds of hours producing music if you're not going to showcase it to its maximum potential right? You only have 42 followers on Soundcloud but in fact you should probably have about 1000.

You. Need. To. Work. On. Your. Marketing. And. Branding.

All your tracks have the same album artwork (atleast if you want to get graphics done you can go back and change it). Your cover photo on soundcloud is blurred out because its a low quality file, straight off the bat this showcases you aren't taking this professionally. I think you could easily get 1k-5k followers over the course of the next 6 months if you keep making tracks like this but you need to work on your branding so much. Head over to MrSuicideSheep on Youtube and go through all their artist and look at their soundclouds. How are they doing things differently? What is their artwork like? Do they have any particular themes? Yes different tracks can have different themes but what is your overall theme as an artist? For chill music it could be: depression, love, hope, gloom, fear... etc. Encompass your branding around a particular theme.

I haven't listened to this song but check out the cover artwork done for "Feel My Love" by Trivecta (come out 2 months ago). Contrasting colours, and the album artwork itself is open to different interpretation. You should be going for something like this.

Also I just re-read your question about mixing help. Don't ask for mixing help from big channels, they don't have time to respond to you and if you try to submit again they may just drag your email to trash without looking at it. Plus half of them barely produce, or produce professionally. So I would give that a miss, and head over to a site like upsound(dot)com for professional feedback from professional artists.
Thanks blue, yeah def something like that :)!

That's so true about my own marketing.
Great points all of them and thanks. (Gonna try upsound for the future!)

Where would you promote your own music? (forums, blogs etc)

Use Submithub(dot)com to find labels/channels/blogs to promote your music. You can pay for premium credits for a bunch of bonuses like guaranteed response & feedback in 48 hrs etc.
Amazing sound, really takes advantage of the speakers in my 7.1 setup. The bass is not obnoxious, and the rhythm is not annoying or too fast paced.

I have always wondered how people get started on Spotify, do you need to apply to them somehow?

Also, you do need to work on advertising to get this out to people, you could boost your videos on youtube and just have people follow you on Spotify. Twitter and Snapchat help too.

Thanks for the feedback! Will try - submit hub!

You will need to use a service like spam.com or Traxx.space. I use the first.

If you wanna be the aggregator yourself to Spotify, you need to contact "Merlin network" but is a process.
