Need help protecting my Mac

Looking for some help/advice on programs to get that'll help protect my Mac. They can be paid programs/subscriptions just looking to keep this thing clean!

ONLY DEAL ON SITE UNLESS VERIFIED BY PM FIRST
I think you can get both Kaspersky and Malwarebytes for mac, that should do it.
You don't need any antivirus for mac. The built in protection is excellent and very solid.

The main thing is that you keep your OS and software up to date, and be sure not to run sketchy files without scanning them on VirusTotal first.

You're stupid.

That is HORRIBLE logic and it's incorrect.

That's a nice comment.

I don't use an AV on windows either. Haven't been infected on my Mac or PC in 8 years. It's called common sense.

"Haven't been infected on my Mac or PC in 8 years"

So you kept both a mac and a PC for 8 years in total? Or were you just lying?
Malwarebytes is probably the best program you can purchase.
For antivirus, I would go with Kaspersky or BitDefender.

You could also install Malwarebytes anti exploit (not sure how its called) and key scrambler against keyloggers.
Chief,

What do you use your Mac for primarily if you don’t mind me asking? How often are you noticing malicious content on your machine?

Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Beta. It's in a perpetual beta state now, since the main program has been rolled in Malwarebytes 3. It's basically like Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit. Perpetual beta state, and when the technology is stable, it's rolled in the main product and the beta is updated.
Fiat justitia ruat cælum

My era of providing technical support and malware removal on HackForums is over, so you can stop PM'ing me about it. Sorry.

I use it for mostly business and HF. I'm never noticing malicious content as I don't download sketchy stuff but I'd love some protection just in case I slip up

Then I’d recommend purchasing Malwarebytes. Don’t worry about anything else. The tools and features provided there are sufficient to what you do.
