Just because he gave a IMEI doesn't mean its a legit phone/imei matches that phone. I would do some more research on the place you are buying from and just do basic fake checks over the pictures provided.

how to do the fake check?

Make sure it isnt icloud locked
for that reset the phone when you buy it and activate it on your apple id
make sure it is sim unlocked
Make sure the screen wasnt replaced as replacement leads to disabled touch id
see the condition of item and all that
