I have photoshop and I have an image I want to isolate from the background, whats the best and fastest way to this. - needs to be masked perfectly.

Hello there.
You have a few ways on doing this.
Quick Selection Tool & Magic Wand Tool (W)
For a more advanced method, you can use Pen Tool set on Path. After the selection is done make sure to Refine Edge with a Smart Radius of 1.5, Smooth to 10 and Contrast between 10-20. Those are the usual settings but you can tweak them.

Remember to use Refine Edge on everything that has been removed from the background in order to smooth out the edges and remove the excess
